THE UNIVERSITY OF WARWICK

Student Research Case Study

The University of Warwick is helping student insight shine through, to help shape its future. In partnership with Qualzy it has built the Warwick Student Panel, an online community of almost 500 students who are sharing their thoughts and needs with Warwick's Market Research and Insight team. They are experts in higher education market research, but needed an adaptive partner which was expert in digital research technology to bring some new ideas to life.

It all began as a chance encounter at the Times Higher Education Market Insight Conference, 2022.

One year on, the two have developed an exciting partnership, and created a fresh foundation for student research in the form of the Warwick Student Panel.  Using Qualzy, the MR&I team is:

  • Fighting the perennial issue of survey and email fatigue
  • Engaging better with Gen Z and Millennial students who expect digital interactivity
  • Speeding up the time to survey results, now they can create snap surveys speedily
  • Exploring the potential of generative AI in surveys

The Warwick Student Panel is building on the success of a two-week Campus 2025 trial project which gained 74% engagement and saw student upload comments, images and videos in response to queries around their needs and desires for the campus and its facilities.  Now, it is helping the University plan for its upcoming 60th Anniversary - a key milestone in this world-leading institution's history.
